What Solace Offers
Solace is a physical space for one-to-one transformational counselling with Carmella B'Hahn, who has made the journey herself from heartbreak to healing. (She offers telephone sessions for those who are unable to connect directly.) Solace houses the Phoenix library for clients, containing books on: resilience, recovery from trauma and grief, all manner of self-growth, preparing for death, and life after death. Having worked extensively with birth, Carmella also helps prepare women/couples for birth.
Carmella, who started Solace in 2001, runs regular workshops in the UK and also offers her two books, Benjaya's Gifts and Mourning Has Broken, which were written as a blueprint for healing from grief. She embraces the spiritual dimension of life in all of her work but shares this only when appropriate.
Solace supports the raising of awareness and releasing of fears around the subject of death, dying, bereavement, and the continuity of consciousness and Carmella has co-founded an embryonic movement in the UK with this specific purpose (see Transitus Network).
Bowden House Community (www.bowdenhouse.co.uk) is the location of Solace. This is a communally owned mansion, in a haven of beautiful grounds - the oldest building in the Totnes area of Devon, England.
Most of Carmella's inspirational workshops are held at this venue.
