Transformational Support Sessions

Carmella B'hahn

I can help if you:

          • Are in any painful transition place.
          • Are open to using your troubles as for fuel for transformation.
          • Are grieving the loss of someone or something – however long ago.
          • Crave comfort from someone who understands.
          • Feel stuck in your grief.
          • Want me to listen to your story and reflect the bigger picture.
          • Desire completion or an appropriate ritual of honouring/release.
          • Need coaching through any difficult situation.
          • Are willing to give your healing process the attention it needs.
          • Want to explore the possibility of life continuing after death

Having lived through the death by drowning of my first son, Benjaya, followed by two miscarriages, I passionately believe that the process of grief is akin to alchemy, which is defined as ‘The art of transmutation from base metal to gold’. Given time and space to express and explore the enormity of my grief, I was astounded to find dazzling gold emerging from this horribly dark place. Two books emerged out of my experience, along with an unshakable trust in the possibility of transformation and a desire to support and witness others as they break through rather than break down.

About the Support Sessions

People with all kinds of challenges come to see me, not just those having 'lost' loved ones. Sessions are tailored to each client, drawing on a variety of tools and resources gathered over 25 years of working in the field of personal transformation and grief. Sessions are an hour or an hour and a half and no two sessions are alike. I will certainly act as a compassionate container to hear your story. I might then use my training in Bereavement Counselling, Focusing or Neuro-Linguistic Programming, work with object or image symbology, teach a powerful Kinesiology exercise, offer inspirational stories, powerful poems or books from my Phoenix Library as resources, or facilitate a visionary journey.

Face-to-face sessions at Solace allow the use of my 'props' when appropriate so we are not limited to speaking or writing as we are with the telephone/email sessions.

Cost:  £30 - £35 per hour according to means

* 90 minute sessions work out cheaper at £40 - £45

(Please speak to me if you truly can't afford this.)
Initial sessions include 20 minutes extra free to discover if we match well and to give you more time to tell the story.

Payment is by cash or cheque at the end of each session.

Telephone Sessions

01803 867005

An appointment needs to be made for telephone counselling. Sessions last an hour and you need to be in a quiet place with no distractions. You call in at the specified time and payment is by cheque in the post or Pay Pal. This form of counselling is not ideal for those in intense grief but very appropriate for those a little further down the line. It works better than you can imagine and is worth a try if you cannot make it physically to Solace.

You are requested to call before 9 pm to make your appointment. Daytime sessions are preferable but exceptions can be made.

Cost:  £30 – £35 per hour according to means *
Payment by cheque or Paypal to arrive no later than 3 days after the session.

“I was initially apprehensive as to how telephone counselling would work as opposed to face to face contact. I wondered if the physical distance might make it difficult to share important feelings and understandings. Not at all - it has been great and worked wonderfully. I can recommend it with no hesitation.”

Email Support

Carmella@SolaceAlchemy.com

You may feel that email is your element. If so, this can be an excellent way to ask questions and focus on a specific challenge. It is not a good medium for communicating your whole story and having me reflect the bigger picture and for this reason I suggest a phone call or two first to share some of the details of your situation. For some, emailing may feel a little distant but it may be worth experimenting before ruling it out - especially if there is a time difference between countries and phone calls are difficult. I personally feel very connected to anyone who is opening their heart and sharing their story with me, whatever the medium. I believe that care traverses distance. This is not instant communication - I answer you as soon as I can.

I will keep a timesheet invoice for you with details of the time I take in responding to your emails then will email the bill when it reaches 2 hours or when you feel ready to complete, if that comes first. Remember that much thought goes into the responses. Composing the response will take longer than just the typing itself, and then there is the admin of keeping track of time on your timesheet. You will need to trust me on this.

Cost:  £25 – £35 per hour according to means*
Payment by cheque or Paypal to arrive no later than 3 days after the session.

“I live on the other side of the Atlantic to Carmella but when my mother died it was a Godsend to know that she was on the other end of the email with her care and wise words. She kept me sane through a horribly traumatic time.”

* Due to the range people's income and the tremendous need for this work, I ask you to be honest and pay what you can afford within the suggested prices. If you can pay the full £35, please know that in choosing to do so you are supporting others who may not otherwise be able to receive this service.
